Create & Nourish – RETREAT

Step out of the everyday and into the wild landscapes of
your creativity

This coming August, I’m inviting you to join me for a five-day deep dive into the creative process. You’ll come to a cozy house by the lake, in the little town I call home.

We’ll gather in an small circle of women and explore what deep nourishment and creative magic might look like for us.

We’ll connect deeply, as creative peers and as women walking a similar path, and during these five days, beautiful friendships will be forged.

Our days together will contain both group work and time for solitary exploration. Look at it as a longed-for opportunity to really commit (or re-commit) to your dream.

“To say it was transformative would be an understatement, it won’t do justice to the depth of the magic woven into this work. I’ve made radical transitions with the help of Anna’s retreat, it changed my path forever. New friends, colleagues and empowering practices all came to me through this work.”

Elizabeth Hall

How can we nourish ourselves and our creative work in a consistent and regenerative way? How can we break the cycles of pushing and grinding and create from a place of desire and flow?

We’ll explore these questions, using simple techniques like journaling, meditation, movement and sharing to find the answers that will release your flow and help you grow.

We’ll commit to filling ourselves up to the brim and allow ourselves to overflow – and that overflow will spill into our work, our words, our art in a way that is as effortless as it is powerful.

And then we create from that space.

If you’ve longed for focused time to devote to exploring your creative work, with the help of supportive structures, relevant teachings and likeminded sisters, this retreat is for you.

“I’ve never realized how powerful it is for women to come together and share thoughts, feelings and experiences about creativity. I learned so much, both from you and from the other participants, and I got so much inspiration for my own creative work. The insights from the retreat have built a little nest in my heart. It feels impossible to go back to what was before. Something new is starting to take over, to grow, and move forward. Magic lingers after this weekend.”

Karin Björkman

“This retreat shook me up – in the best of ways. It’s hard to describe all it has meant to me, but there’s definitely a before and after. Anna created a safe place where I could open a window to my inner self – to my longing, my desire, my work, my relationships. I dared be vulnerable, show myself as I am – in my body and in my voice.

I’ve made a lot of changes since I got home and I feel stronger now than before. I feel hope and faith. I keep this retreat as a precious white stone that no one can take from me.”

Jenny Bjerneld

We’ll let go of what we’ve outgrown, all that no longer serves us, so that new things can grow, the kind our wild hearts truly long for.

The wilderness surrounding us will serve us in this process, it will draw us out of our heads and into our bodies, where all the intuitive wisdom you are searching for can be found. The forest and the lake is ever present here, available for us to root into and enjoy.

“The retreat experience was so powerful and potent for me, it still reverberates through my being. It was a catalyst moment in my life and work; a complete reorientation from one way of being to another. My gratitude to you, your work and your commitment to women doing their work is endless.”

Andrea Atherton

What kind of retreat is this (and what is it not)?

This is not a bootcamp or a quick fix. We are not going to rush or push our way to anything. Because creative work requires a different kind of fuel, it grows out of connection, devotion and deep alignment. And that’s what we’ll do here, we’ll connect deeply, and bring our intention and our work into alignment so that it can begin to flow in the right direction. You will leave here resourced, supported and inspired <3

Our days together will roughly look like this:

  • We gather early in the morning for a meditation or movement pratice. If you’d rather use this time for a morning walk, for some solitary creative work, or to just snuggle up in bed a bit longer, you’re welcome to do so.
  • A generous and nourishing breakfast is served and then we get ready for today’s work.
  • We bring our teacups and gather for some group work, inside or outside, and carry on until lunch, which will be vegetarian and delicious, like all the rest of the food served on the retreat.
  • The afternoons are devoted to your own creative work, to individual mentoring with Anna, or, if you prefer, time to rest and absorb new insights and ideas.
  • Come evening, we light some candles and share dinner, and afterwards we gather for a short session to talk about the insights, setbacks and breakthroughs we’ve had during the day.
  • After all this you might be ready for a good night’s sleep. But if not – I’ll invite you to join me for some delicious nourishment (how about a sauna on the lake as the sun sets?) Or feel free to keep creating, take a walk, borrow a mat and do some yoga, or spend some slow time in front of the fire place, reading a book or just enjoying the company.

We’ll have spacious, peaceful, yet intense days, where you’ll do important work but also have time to rest, eat delicious food and walk in nature. Any sense of overwhelm is left at the door. This is sacred ground and we have all the time we need.

There will be breakthroughs, laughter, chocolate and so much love

Our circle will be small, just seven participants, which means there will be space for you to be heard, held and seen (I know this can feel scary, but it’s also deep medicine). With a group this small, I’ll be able to give each participant individual mentoring as well.

“I’m still having a hard time putting into words how profoundly my life shifted. And it was done so simply, no thunderbolts or burning bushes, just you and the other women giving me permission. This permission wasn’t linked to a specific outcome. Just the space to be. Nothing is more powerful. (As a side note, I feel like since the retreat I’ve lost my taste and tolerance for anything that isn’t deep soul diving.)“

Julie purcell

Who is it for?

You don’t need to be an artist or have reached a certain level with your creative work to participate. There will be time devoted to your own creative work, but if you’re not working on a specific project right now, you can use that time to dive deeper into the questions we’re exploring together, or just rest and soak up all the nourishment. All that’s really required to join is a longing for a richer, more grounded and joyful creative life.

When?

We gather in the evening of Wednesday August 9th, and wrap up with lunch on Sunday August 13th. We will serve an evening meal at 6.30 pm on Wednesday. You are welcome to check in from 5.30 pm.

Where?

The small town of Rättvik, Sweden.

“So much happened during this retreat. New realizations about my creative work and my life as a creator and writer. New seeds were planted, new perspectives on a lot of things.

I loved the food, the house, the calm space that became a safe container for us to share everything. It surprised me how everyone was so real and participated so wholeheartedly, with so much tenderness for each other.

When I got home, I was in a magic mood for weeks – listening, receiving insights and messages. I understand what those who have been to your retreats mean when they say it’s the beginning of a BIG journey.”

Anna Winberg sääf

“It’s a brave thing to sign up, to show up and to trust the process. To share your ideas, your longing and your struggles with people you have never met before. Still it felt easy and safe all the way.

The feeling I’ve had since the retreat is that I’ve been receiving much more than I’ve asked for. Things are coming from all directions. I don’t know exactly what my next step is, but I’m not worried since the retreat also gave me a lot of tools to figure it out. Thank you Anna, for creating this space for us!”

I’m Anna Lovind, writer, forest mystic and creativity teacher. I’m also a mama, a happy introvert, and a fierce believer in the power of creative women gathering together to make shit happen. Creating and hosting these retreats is the most delightful part of my work.

Joining me this retreat:

Eva Nylander is my assistant and experienced co-facilitator. She’ll guide us to connect with our bodies through dance and movement. She will also keep us fed and nourished throughout the retreat, with food sourced from her own garden.

I’m beyond excited to host the retreat in this particular house, in
this particular corner of the world, because this landscape is my home and it’s beautiful. The woods and lake offer deep nourishment. I want to share that with you. Can’t wait to meet you, love!

“An unforgettable weekend of vulnerable words finding their way through the mist rising from our teacups. Stories unfurling like fern on silent forest walks. Barefoot dancing through old fears. Looking deeply. Laughing loudly. Crying safely. Letting go. Thank you for making the retreat so magical.”

Sanna Hellberg

“After this retreat, I’m just full of light – beyond words <3. I’ve found so many possibilities here, so much beauty. I feel gifted. My heart sparkles today, so grateful for all new experiences, insights and connections.
Thank you, shining Anna.”

“Thank you for this magical weekend! I left the retreat feeling so incredibly stoked and determined to go for it. And I’ve kept that promise. I’ve been working every single day on my project since I got home. I’m doing this now! I really am, but in my own (slow) pace. Thank you!”

Anna Lindh

“So much beauty, and every detail organized with love. I’m so happy I
got to be a part of this retreat. Thank you.”

“This retreat really nourished my being – taking some time to nourish the slow, the creative, the trusting. I carry it with me and I’m having creative outbursts all over the place.”
